Inevitably, for all of those who study a language, there will come a point of time at which you will be asked to give self introductions. In Japanese these are called jikoshoukai [自己紹介] and, over the course of studying Japanese and traveling to Japan, I have given my fair share. As it is the intention of this blog to focus on Japan, following the usual jikoshoukai pattern for self introduction seems an apt way to start things off. Continue reading
